RIPON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Junior Michael Sheffler (Appleton, Wis.) and freshman Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) opened the Warriors' 2021 indoor track & field season by winning two events each at the Ripon Dual on Saturday inside the Willmore Center. WLC scored 68 points to finish runner-up at the season-opening event.

- Micheel competed in his first collegiate track & field meet and was victorious in the Mile with a time of 4:37.95 and the 3000 Meters with a time of 9:33.60.
- Sheffler took home the top spot in the Shot Put with a distance of 11.58 meters and also the Weight Throw with a mark of 12.87 meters.
- Junior Keith Bowling (Jefferson, Wis.) finished on top in the Triple Jump with a leap of 12.97 meters.
- Junior Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) finished first in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.80 meters.
- "What an exciting way to start the year! Sprinters concentrated on shorter events since we weren't able to run longer than 30m in training, but today's results show the progress they've made. Distance is prepping for their XC season, so we look forward to them joining back up with us after March.
