(WLCSports.com) – Ripon scored three of its four runs over the final two innings to come from behind and hand the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team a 4-3 defeat on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at Frame Park. Senior Joe Serbiak (Brookfield, Wis.) struck out 10 over 5.0 innings and allowed an unearned run on just one hit in his first collegiate start. WLC pitchers combined to fan 14 Red Hawks batters in the game, the most on record.

- The Warriors registered the first hit of the game in the second inning when junior Nick Poblocki (Bartlett, Ill.) doubled to right-center, but was later retired on a fielder's choice.
- WLC plated three runs in the third inning on three hits. Sophomore Carter Raabe (Mukwonago, Wis.) tripled to left center with one out and senior Jayson Walczak-Zelem (Oak Creek, Wis.) followed with a RBI single. Two batters later, junior Josh Enevold (Jackson, Wis.) tripled home junior Ryan Dominick (Bartlett, Ill.) and Enevold scored when junior Matthew Schulenburg (Hampshire, Ill.) reached on a fielding error.
- Serbiak escaped a bases-loaded jam with nobody out in the fifth by allowing just one runner to score on a sac fly after the first three batters reached safely.
- Wisconsin Lutheran had scoring chances in the fifth and sixth innings, but stranded three runners in scoring position over those two frames.
- Ripon came within a run in the eighth after a successful squeeze play and plated two more in its half of the ninth on another squeeze play and a passed ball.
- Wisconsin Lutheran had its leadoff hitter reach to start the ninth, but any threat was ended after a successful pickoff and the next two were retired.
- Five different players each recorded a hit for the Green and White. Serbiak was credited for 10 of the Warriors' 14 strikeouts from the pitching staff, the most in a game on record.
