Box Score 2 LOVES PARK, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – Senior Joe Serbiak (Brookfield, Wis.) struck out 10 batters over six innings to earn his first win of the season as the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team picked up a 6-3 win over Rockford in game two of their doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at Rivets Stadium. The Regents came from behind to win game one 8-7.

- The Warriors scored a run in the first inning when junior Nick Poblocki's (Bartlett, Ill.) one-out sacrifice fly scored freshman Cooper Pease (Fort Atkinson, Wis.). The Regents evened the score after one following a two-out RBI double.
- Rockford grabbed a 2-1 lead in the second after back-to-back sac bunts plated a runner from third.
- WLC struck for four runs on three hits in the third inning on another sac fly from Poblocki, a two-run double from freshman Spencer Jens (New London, Wis.), and a sac bunt from senior Jayson Walczak-Zelem (Oak Creek, Wis.).
- Wisconsin Lutheran tacked on two more runs in the fifth for a 7-2 lead on a two-out single RBI from Walczak-Zelem that also plated an additional run via an error.
- RU cut into its five-run deficit in the seventh with two, two-out unearned runs after a fielding error and RBI single.
- The Regents trailed 7-4 heading into their half of the eighth inning when they capitalized on three Warriors errors and had four hits to claim an 8-7 lead. WLC was retired in order in the ninth and was handed a tough late-inning loss.
- Seven different players posted one hit each in the game for the Warriors, while Jens, Poblocki, and Walczak-Zelem drove home two runs each. Freshman Andrew Muffler (Waukesha, Wis.) struck out six over seven innings without allowing an earned run for a no-decision.
- The Warriors' first two batters reached via an error in the opening inning and freshman Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas) and sophomore Danny Cain (Jackson, Wis.) followed with RBI singles. Walczak-Zelem added WLC's third run of the inning with a sac fly to left field. The Regents got one run back in the first off a leadoff homerun to center field.
- Engelhardt made it a 4-1 game in the second inning when his single through the left side scored junior Ryan Dominick (Bartlett, Ill.).
- Engelhardt drove in his third run of the game in the fourth on a RBI groundout for a 5-1 Warriors lead.
- Rockford got one run back in the fifth on a RBI single, but Engelhardt drove in his fourth run of the game the next inning for a four-run lead.
- The score stood 6-2 until the last of the ninth when the Regents put their first two runners on. After a strikeout with runners on second and third, a sacrifice fly scored a run but the game-ending out was made at third after Dominick took the relay throw from junior Josh Enevold (Jackson, Wis.) who fired to Walczak-Zelem for the final out.
- Engelhardt went 2-for-5 with four RBI and a run scored, while Dominick scored three times for WLC. Serbiak fanned 10 over six innings to earn his first win of the season.
- Phil Hyland went 2-for-5 with two RBI for the Regents in the opener. Kerrick Jones threw three hitless innings of relief to collect the win.
- Hunter Fiorito had two hits and two RBI for Rockford, which was plagued by eight errors in game two.
- The Warriors (3-11) play their first games at Neumann Family Field this season on Saturday when they host Benedictine (6-5) for a 12 p.m. non-conference doubleheader.
