Men's Track & Field Competes At Pioneer Invitational

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Carroll Pioneer Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors placed ninth with 28 points at the Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex.

  • Location: Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex, Waukesha, Wis.

  • Junior Keith Bowling (Jefferson, Wis.) leaped a distance of 6.31 meters in the Long Jump, good for third place.
  • Sophomore Thomas Jungwirth III (Appleton, Wis.) finished third in the finals of the 110m Hurdles with a time of 17.46 seconds.
  • Freshman Jeff Zeh (Jefferson, Wis.) claimed fourth place in the 100m finals with a time of 11.22 seconds.
  • Freshman Jacob Hefle (Germantown, Wis.) placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 52.24 seconds. Junior Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) finished eighth in the same event behind a time of 54.84. Rodmyre also posted a seventh-place finish in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.55 meters.
  • Freshman Hans Rupnow (Mankato, Minn.) recorded an eighth-place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:05.20.
  • WLC's 4x400 Relay team of freshman August Davis (Springfield, Ill.), Rupnow, freshman Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.), and senior Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) placed seventh in 3:39.80.
  • St. Norbert won five events and scored 143 points to finish atop the 10 team invitational.

  • "Well, it was another cool and rainy Wisconsin day, but you wouldn't know that based on our performances today. 40 PR's and Kendra shattering her own 100 and 200 records shows these student-athletes are continuing to improve and find our rhythm.   • WLC returns to Raabe Stadium next Saturday for the Warrior Invitational. Events are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Live results will be available for the meet at WLCSports.com.
