Two Records Lead Warriors To Third At Home Invite

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Behind a pair of school records in the 4x100m Relay and Discus, the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's outdoor track & field team placed third among 14 scoring teams at the Green and White Invite at Raabe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

• Final Results: 3rd of 14 (135.5 Points)
• Location: Raabe Stadium, Wauwatosa, Wis.

• The Warriors' 4x100m Relay team of freshman Jeff Zeh (Jefferson, Wis.), freshman Jacob Hefle (Germantown, Wis.), freshman Jordan Wiesen (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), and sophomore Keith Bowling (Jefferson, Wis.) set a school record with a time of 42.93 seconds to finish first in the event.
• Junior Cole Kuehl (Richland, Mich.) set a school record in the Discus with a throw of 40.18 meters, good for fifth place.
• In the 100m, Zeh placed third with a time of 11.37 seconds. Wiesen finished fifth, racing to a time of 11.45 seconds. Wiesen also tallied an eighth-place finish in the 200m with a time of 23.27 seconds.
• Hefle tallied a third-place finish in the 400m with a time of 51.64 seconds.
• Freshman Hans Rupnow (Mankato, Minn.) and freshman Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) both scored in the 800m. Rupnow placed sixth with a time of 2:03.60 and Schultz finished eighth at 2:06.00.
• In the 5000m, senior Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) finished fourth with a time of 16:21.04. Freshman Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) placed fifth with a time of 16:49.84.
• Sophomore Thomas Jungwirth III (Appleton, Wis.) recorded a third-place finish with a time of 17.21 seconds in the 110m Hurdles. Junior Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) placed fourth with a time of 17.55. Jungwirth III also finished fourth in the 400m Hurdles behind a time of 1:03.31. Freshman Ben Bode (Helena, Mont.) placed sixth in the same event with a mark of 1:04.35.
• Bode recorded a third-place finish in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:27.29.
• The 4x400m Relay team of Schultz, Hefle, Rupnow, and Bode placed second with a time of 3:32.95.
• In the High Jump, sophomore Jacob Trietsch (Trafalgar, Ind.) finished third with a mark of 1.77 meters. Hefle finished fourth and also recorded a height of 1.77 meters.
• Rodmyre tied for fourth in the Pole Vault with a clearance of 3.95 meters. He also finished fifth in the Long Jump at 5.90 meters. Rodmyre added a sixth-place finish in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.68 meters.
• Bowling, Hefle, and Wiesen each scored in the Triple Jump. Bowling finished fifth at 12.58 meters, Hefle sixth with a mark of 12.39 meters, and Wiesen finished seventh with a distance of 11.38 meters.
• Junior Michael Sheffler (Appleton, Wis.) scored in the Discus, Hammer Throw, and Javelin. He placed seventh, eighth, and seventh in the three events respectively.
• MSOE scored 197.5 points and won six events to capture the 14-team invite title.
