Men's Track & Field Competes At Eagle Tune-Up

LISLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Eagle Tune-Up on Friday afternoon at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex. The Warriors placed fifth out of 12 scoring teams with 33 points at the final meet before next weekend's conference championships.

• Sophomore Thomas Jungwirth III (Appleton, Wis.) placed third in the 110m Hurdles, running a time of 17.14 seconds.
• In the 400m Hurdles, freshman Ben Bode (Helena, Mont.) also finished third with a time of 1:03.96.
• Junior Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) tallied a fourth-place finish in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.75 meters. He also placed third in the Javelin with a distance of 39.28 meters.
• Freshman Kenton Dvorak (Hillsboro, Wis.) recorded an eighth-place finish in the Shot Put with a distance of 11.32 meters.
• Junior Michael Sheffler (Appleton, Wis.) placed seventh in the Javelin with a mark of 33.32 meters.
• Lewis won the meet with 221 total points. Aurora was second with 83 points.

We pulled several people back to only 1-2 events or even had them take the weekend off to allow everyone to be ready for next week. • WLC hosts the NACC Outdoor Championships next Friday and Saturday at Raabe Stadium for the first time since 2015. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. Live coverage links will be available for the two-day meet at WLCSports.com.
