(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team scored 27 runs across two games on Sunday as the Warriors swept a NACC road doubleheader from Edgewood by scores of 16-14 and 11-7 at Stampfl Field. Senior Joe Serbiak (Brookfield, Wis.) nearly went the distance in game two, striking out a career-high 11 batters.

- After an opening scoreless inning from both teams, the Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the second on a double from sophomore Carter Raabe (Mukwonago, Wis.) that plated senior Jayson Walczak-Zelem (Oak Creek, Wis.).
- WLC added a trio of RBI singles in the third inning from freshman Cooper Pease (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), freshman Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas), and Walczak-Zelem. A fourth run scored on a double-play groundout for the 5-0 lead.
- The Eagles answered with five runs on four hits, all coming from run-scoring singles to even the score at 5-5 after three complete.
- A two-run double in the fourth inning from junior Nick Poblocki (Bartlett, Ill.) and dropped fly ball off the bat of Engelhardt allowed three runs to score.
- Edgewood got one run back on a RBI single in its half of the fourth and trailed 8-6.
- Raabe reached home in the fifth inning on a two-out fielding error for a three-run Wisconsin Lutheran lead.
- EC erupted for six runs on six hits in the seventh inning to jump in front for the first time 12-9.
- The Green and White grabbed the lead right back in the eighth inning via four consecutive singles, including three that scored runs from Poblocki, Engelhardt, and Raabe.
- The Eagles added a single tally in their half of the eighth on a throwing error with two outs to knot the score at 13-13.
- The Warriors loaded the bases with nobody out in the ninth and scored three times from a fielding error, Poblocki single, and hit by pitch from Walczak-Zelem.
- The Eagles added one last run in the ninth on a two-out RBI single for the 16-14 final score.
- Cooper Pease went 3-for-5 with four runs and a RBI and Poblocki was also 3-for-5 with four RBI and three runs. WLC collected 13 hits and capitalized on seven errors by EC.
- Senior Jacob Kopplin (Rowlett, Texas) picked up his first win of the season after throwing the final four innings in relief of freshman starter Andrew Muffler (Waukesha, Wis.).
- The Eagles cracked the scoring column first in the second inning with a groundout for a 1-0 lead.
- The Warriors grabbed back the lead in the third on a two-out, two-run double from junior Josh Enevold (Jackson, Wis.) and RBI single from Poblocki.
- WLC plated a pair of runs in the fifth on RBI singles from Enevold and Poblocki for a 5-1 advantage.
- Edgewood added two, two-out RBI hits in the sixth to trim its deficit to 5-3.
- Another RBI single from Enevold in the seventh gave Wisconsin Lutheran a 6-3 lead until the last of the eighth.
- A leadoff home run brought the Eagles to within 6-4, but the Green and White blew the game open in the ninth with five runs on four hits. Two-run singles from Walczak-Zelem and sophomore Dylan Pease (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), along with a solo RBI single from Raabe, gave the visitors an 11-4 lead.
- Edgewood plated three in the ninth but stranded a pair when the final out was made on a fielder's choice.
- Serbiak tossed eight and two-thirds innings on the bump with a career-high 11 strikeouts on 142 pitches for his third win of the season.
- Freshman Hunter Martin (Whitewater, Wis.) recorded the final out of the game for his first save.
- Enevold finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored, while Poblocki and junior Ryan Dominick (Bartlett, Ill.) added two hits each.
- Joseph Kalafut and Alex Prindle each had three hits in the opener for the Eagles. Eric Nelson suffered the loss after giving up six runs, five earned, over the final two frames.
- Jacob Slonim went 4-for-5 with two runs and a RBI for the Eagles in game two. Ben Collier gave up five runs over the first four and one-third innings on the mound.
