Box Score 2 MEQUON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team traveled to Mequon for two games against Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors dropped both games to the Falcons, losing 8-2 in the first game before falling 13-3 in seven innings in the second game.

- The Warriors loaded the bases in the second inning with no outs, but a double play and a strikeout helped the Falcons escape the early jam.
- In the fourth inning, Concordia Wisconsin connected on a one-out, three-run home run to break the scoreless game.
- The Falcons tacked on four more runs in the sixth inning to take a seven-run advantage. The first run scored on a single to right field, before a two-out double to center field cleared the bases.
- After CUW scored one more in the eighth, WLC put two runs on the board in the ninth on RBI from junior Ryan Dominick (Bartlett, Ill.) and freshman Cooper Pease (Fort Atkinson, Wis.).
- Freshman Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas) recorded a pair of hits to lead the Warriors' offense. Wisconsin Lutheran drew six walks in the game but stranded 11 runners on base.
- Senior Jake Wiedower (St. Francis, Wis.) was saddled with the loss after allowing seven runs on seven hits across 5.2 innings.
- A RBI groundout and an error resulted in two runs for the Falcons in the first inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, Concordia Wisconsin cleared the bases with a grand slam to extend the lead to six after one inning.
- CUW extended the lead in the fourth with a solo home run and a pair of RBI doubles to push the lead to nine.
- The Warriors scored one in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by freshman Spencer Jens (New London, Wis.).
- The Falcons hit their third home run of the game in the bottom half of the sixth and scored one more run in the inning on an infield single.
- Juniors Josh Enevold (Jackson, Wis.) and Nick Poblocki (Bartlett, Wis.) each delivered a RBI single in the seventh but CUW scored twice in the bottom of the inning to win 13-3 by run rule.
- Enevold and Poblocki both recorded two hits, as the Warriors tallied seven hits as a team.
- Sophomore Evan Theis (Richfield, Wis.) allowed nine runs in four innings and was charged with the loss.
- Sam Beers finished 2-for-3 with three RBI in the first game, and Jared Chesak slammed a three-run home run. Tyler Drezek improved to 6-0 on the mound, holding the Warriors scoreless across seven innings.
- Johannes Haakenson posted a 4-for-5 line with a home run and four runs scored in game two. Drew Johnson drove in four with the first-inning grand slam, and Bradlee Sumner picked up the win after allowing three runs in seven innings.
