Box Score 2 WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Senior Joe Serbiak (Brookfield, Wis.) became the Warriors' single-season strikeout leader with 69 as the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball closed its 2021 season with a split against Concordia Wisconsin on Senior Day. WLC won 3-2 in game one before falling 5-1 in the second game on Sunday at Neumann Family Baseball Field. Wisconsin Lutheran, which finished one game back of the NACC North Tournament, honored its seven seniors during a pregame ceremony.

- After a leadoff walk in the bottom of the first, freshman Cooper Pease (Fort Atkinson, Wis.) put the Warriors on the board with a RBI triple to right center. Freshman Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas) drove in Pease with a groundout to give WLC a two-run advantage.
- The Falcons scored once in the second inning on a two-out single to left field, their only hit through eight innings.
- In the third inning, sophomore Carter Raabe (Mukwonago, Wis.) singled to center field to open the inning and scored on a one-out single to right by Pease.
- Wisconsin Lutheran threatened to add to its lead in the seventh, but stranded runners on first and second.
- A leadoff double in the ninth for CUW resulted in one run, but freshman Hunter Martin (Whitewater, Wis.) left the tying run on second as the Falcons flew out to right field to end the game.
- Pease finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and junior Josh Enevold (Jackson, Wis.) recorded a pair of hits in the win.
- Freshman Andrew Muffler (Waukesha, Wis.) picked up his third win of the season on the mound, holding the Falcons to just one run and one hit across six innings. Martin picked up his second save of the season, tossing the final three frames.
- The Falcons scored three times in the first inning on a pair of sacrifice flies and a double down the right field line.
- In the second, the Warriors loaded the bases with two outs but CUW escaped the inning with a pop out into foul territory.
- Back-to-back two-out hits for Concordia Wisconsin in the fifth resulted in one run to extend the visitors' lead to four.
- In the bottom half of the fifth, Pease reached on an error and Engelhardt singled to left field. Junior Matthew Schulenburg (Hampshire, Ill.) was hit by a pitch to load the bases with two outs. Junior Nick Poblocki (Bartlett, Ill.) singled to left field to score one run, but WLC left the bases loaded as the following batter bounced out to short.
- CUW tacked on one more run in the sixth on a two-out single to left to increase the lead back to four.
- The Warriors were unable to get much going offensively over the final three innings and fell 5-1 to the Falcons.
- Schulenburg finished 2-for-3 as WLC recorded seven hits as a team. Pease scored the team's lone run of the game.
- Serbiak, who also leads the NACC in strikeouts, fanned 11 batters over 7.1 innings to become the single-season strikeout leader for the Warriors. He finishes the season with 69 punch outs, surpassing the previous mark of 59 held by Geoff Ziesemer in 1999.
- Drew Johnson tallied two of the three CUW hits in the first game and also drove in both runs. Ryan Green dropped to 2-2 with the loss, allowing three runs in seven innings on the mound.
- Sean Tillmon finished 3-for-5 for the Falcons in game two and scored a pair of runs. Kyle Kosobucki drove in two runs to pace the team. Zach Lutz picked up the win in relief, throwing 2.1 innings of scoreless ball.
- The Warriors close their 2021 season with a record of 14-25 overall and 7-13 in the NACC North Division.
