WLC Drops NACC Match At Illinois Tech

CHICAGO, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 conference match to Illinois Tech on Saturday afternoon at Stuart Field on Chicago's southside. 

• Final Score: Illinois Tech 5, Wisconsin Lutheran 1
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (1-6-0, 0-2-0 NACC), Illinois Tech (5-1-1, 1-1-0 NACC)
• Location: Stuart Field, Chicago, Ill.

• Illinois Tech scored three times in the first half, with the first coming in the 15th minute. The Scarlet Hawks added goals in the 25th and 30th minutes to hold a 3-0 lead at halftime.
• In the second half, the Warriors scored in the 52nd minute as freshman Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season.
• The Scarlet Hawks tacked on two more goals in the second half in the 59th and 68th minutes to extend the lead to 5-1.
• Miller and junior Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with two shots. Miller and freshman Xiomara Garcia (Milwaukee, Wis.) tallied the two shots on goal for the Warriors.
• Sophomore Sierra Kannas (Watertown, S.D.) posted 13 saves for WLC on 18 shots faced.
