Women's Soccer Shutout By Stars

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 setback to the defending three-time NACC champion Dominican Stars on Saturday afternoon at Warriors Soccer Field.

• Final Score: Dominican 5, Wisconsin Lutheran 0
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (1-8-0, 0-4-0 NACC), Dominican (6-1-2, 4-0-0 NACC)
• Location: Warriors Soccer Field, Wauwatosa, Wis.

• The Stars netted their first goal of the game on the first shot attempt in the 6th minute for a 1-0 lead. It was the first of four goals on the day for DU's Regan Coxon.
• The visitors made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute and added one more just before halftime in the 43rd minute.
• Dominican added scoring tallies in the 56th and 69th minutes of the second half to account for its five goals.
• Freshman Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) nearly put the Warriors on the scoreboard in the final minute of the match, but her shot ricocheted off the crossbar.
• The Warriors placed five of their nine shots on frame in the match, as Miller lead the way with four total shots.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Sierra Kannas (Watertown, S.D.) made three saves in the match.
