(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team jumped out to an early lead and out-shot Lawrence 15-8, but the visiting Vikings scored two unanswered goals, including the game-winner early in the second overtime, to hand the Warriors a 2-1 loss on Sunday in their home opener at Warriors Soccer Field.

- The Warriors wasted little time getting on the scoreboard when freshman Teyah Palmer (Washington, Ill.) lobbed a ball over the defender that also beat the keeper in just the 2nd minute of the game. The first goal was assisted by senior Osiris Leon (Elgin, Ill.).
- WLC held a one-goal advantage until the 26th minute when the Vikings' Cambrie Rickard tied the contest up on an assist from Emma Vasconez.
- Wisconsin Lutheran and Lawrence went into halftime knotted at 1-1. The hosts held a 7-3 lead in the shot count through the first 45 minutes of play.
- The game remained tied at 1-1 through a first overtime frame, despite the Green and White placing five shots on frame from the second half onward.
- Less than a minute into the second extra session, a scramble in the box following a LU corner kick resulted in a Madi Jones game-winning goal.
- Freshman Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a team-high four shots for the Warriors, who collected 15 for the game.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Sierra Kannas (Watertown, S.D.) made a pair of saves in nearly 101 minutes.
