WLC Drops Tuesday Tilt At Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team out-shot host Lake Forest in the opening half, but the Foresters managed to score three times before adding one more goal in the second half in a 4-0 defeat over the Warriors on Tuesday afternoon at Mohr Field.

• The Warriors put a pair of shots on frame in the fourth minute, as freshman Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior Maggie Stebbins (Beaver Dam, Wis.) attempts were stopped.
• The Foresters found the back of the net in the 12th minute for a 1-0 lead. Lake Forest went ahead 2-0 in the 28th minute and added its third score five minutes before halftime for a 3-0 margin.
• WLC was kept off the first half scoreboard despite placing six of its eight shots on frame.
• LFC held Wisconsin Lutheran without a shot in the second half, as it netted its final goal in the 57th minute.
• Miller and junior Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.) each recorded two shots on frame. Sophomore Sierra Kannas (Watertown, S.D.) made six saves.
• Alyssa Xanos tallied five shots on target and two goals for the Foresters.
