WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College had three runners finish in the top-10 en route to a third-place team finish at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday at Greenfield Park.
The Warriors totaled 54 points and placed four points behind second-place Carroll. Ripon won the nine-team scoring event with 43 points. Spencer Kirsteatter of Carroll won the 8K race with a time of 25:34.2.
Junior
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) was WLC's top finisher, placing fourth overall in a field of 82 runners with a time of 26:12.5. Sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) finished eighth with a time of 26:26.4 and junior
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) was ninth with a time of 26:39.6.
Freshman
Michael Miller (Waukesha, Wis.) placed 15th with a time of 27:42.2 and junior
Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) came in 18th with a time of 27:50.6.
Wisconsin Lutheran competes in the 2022 NACC Championships on Saturday, October 29 in Geneva, Illinois. The men's 8K race at Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course starts at 12 p.m.
