ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College finished fourth out of 10 teams at the 2022 NACC Championship at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club.Â
The Warriors, who shot a 401-385 over the final two rounds which were contested Friday and Saturday, finished with a four-round score of 1,527. WLC was five shots back of third-place Marian and eight behind runner-up St. Norbert. Aurora captured its 10th NACC championship with a 324-331-352-337--1,344. The Spartans' Kallie Sakamoto claimed her fourth NACC medalist honor with a 75-82-84-77--318.
Junior
Maddie O'Keefe (Erin, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran and earned All-NACC honors with a 10th-place finish in the 52-player championship field. She turned in rounds of 87-94-101-90--372. Senior
Charley Fleek (Albert Lea, Minn.) placed 12th overall with a 94-91-92-97--374, and junior
Sarah Bridenhagen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) was 15th with a 94-89-105-96--384.
Freshman
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) finished 22nd with a 95-99-104-102--400, and sophomore
Taylor Peterson (Beloit, Wis.) tied for 24th with a 101-97-104-102--404.
The NACC Championship signals the end of the fall season for the Warriors, who will resume their season in the spring with more competitions.
