NORTHFIELD, Minn. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College posted its highest team finish ever at a NCAA regional and junior
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) earned All-Region honors on Saturday at the NCAA Division III North Regional hosted by St. Olaf.
The Warriors finished 17th out of 35 teams with 489 points, besting their previous top regional finish of 19th from a season ago. UW-Whitewater won the regional title with 75 points after placing three runners in the top-13. The Warhawks' Christian Patzka won the overall 8K race with a time of 24:08.5.Â
Hartman, who became the fourth runner in program history to receive All-Region recognition, finished 30th overall out of 214 competitors with a personal-best time of 25:26.4. The junior was also the NACC's top finisher at the event.
Sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) placed 85th with a time of 26:27.5 and junior
Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) was 118th with a personal-best time of 27:07.5. Junior
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) came in 130th with a time of 27:26.3 and freshman
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 133rd in a season-best time of 27:28.5.
Freshman
Michael Miller (Waukesha, Wis.) placed 139th in 27:41.8 and junior
Hans Rupnow (Mankato, Minn.) rounded out the competitors for Wisconsin Lutheran with a time of 29:08.1.
