PLYMOUTH, Wis. • LU added a pair in the second and a single tally in the third to extend its lead to 8-0.
  • The Warriors threatened in the third with a two-out rally after senior Ryan Dominick (Bartlett, Ill.) walked and junior Carter Raabe (Mukwonago, Wis.) singled up the middle, but the hosts escaped the jam with a strikeout.
  • Lakeland added three and four runs in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, to push its lead to 15-0.

The Muskies limited the damage with three consecutive strikeouts to end the frame. LU responded quickly by capitalizing on two errors to hang eight runs in the first inning for a seven-run lead.
  • WLC chipped away and cut the deficit to 8-3 in the second. Junior Danny Cain (Jackson, Wis.) started the rally with a walk and later scored on a two-out double to the gap by Enevold. Dominick followed with a RBI single to plate Enevold.
  • After keeping the hosts off the board in the second, Wisconsin Lutheran erupted for three runs in the third. Seniors Nick Poblocki (Bartlett, Ill.), Ethan Orcutt (East Dubuque, Ill.), and Matthew Schulenburg (Hampshire, Ill.) recorded consecutive doubles to start the frame. Following a pitching change, Cain concluded the rally with the fourth straight hit to start the inning on a RBI single to left field to trim the deficit to 8-6. The Muskies added a run in their half to lead 9-6.
  • Orcutt singled in the fourth to plate Dominick, who led off the inning with a single. The Green and White trailed by just a single run at 9-8 on a passed ball.
  • The Warriors took advantage of a pair of errors to post a five-run inning and retake the lead in the fifth. Dominick tallied a two-run scoring double to give WLC the lead. A double steal from Raabe and Dominick added another run before Poblocki and Orcutt followed with RBI singles.
  • Dominick added an insurance run for Wisconsin Lutheran with another RBI in the sixth, his fourth of the game, to plate Enevold and extend the lead to 14-9.
  • Lakeland threatened with a pair of runners in scoring position in the eighth, but a flyout kept the hosts off the board.
  • The Green and White capitalized on another error as sophomore Jake Sillan (Castle Rock, Colo.) doubled home Schulenburg to push the advantage to 15-9.
  • The Warriors' 20-hit outburst set a new season-high. Dominick led the way with five hits and four RBI. Orcutt and Cain added three hits apiece, while Enevold, Raabe, Poblocki, and Sillan each contributed a pair each.
  • WLC pitching was led by the bullpen which finished the game with six scoreless innings. Junior Glavine Matthes (Appleton, Wis.) finished the game with 2.0 scoreless innings and a pair of punchouts.
