FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College tied for a second-place finish out of 11 teams at the Marian Invite on Friday and Saturday at Rolling Meadows and Whisperings Springs Golf Courses.
The Warriors tied with St. Norbert for runner-up in the 11-team field, finishing with 369-381--750 at the two-day event. Lake Forest won the tournament with a 349-362--711. The Green Knights' Emma Laundrie won medalist honors in the 60-player field with a 83-88--171.Â
Juniors
Sarah Bridenhagen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) and
Maddie O'Keefe (Erin, Wis.)Â led WLC by tying for eighth overall with a 183. Bridenhagen matched her career-low with a first round 88.
Senior
Charley Fleek (Albert Lea, Minn.) tied for 11th with a 89-96--185. Freshman
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) tied for 29th with a 100-99--199, and senior
Miranda Noon (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) was 43rd with a 109-107--216.
Wisconsin Lutheran hosts a pair of home tournaments next week, the first of which takes place on Thursday at Dretzka Park Golf Course and begins at 11 a.m.
