NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished second out of five teams with a school-record round on Friday at the WLC Invitational at New Berlin Hills Golf Course.
The Warriors finished second with a school-record round of 357, besting their previous record from September 9, 2021 of 360. Lake Forest fired a 332 to top the five-team field. The Foresters' Alijah Campbell carded a 79 to claim medalist honors in the 26-player field.
Junior
Maddie O'Keefe (Erin, Wis.) tied for third overall with a career-low round of 84. Junior
Sarah Bridenhagen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) placed sixth with an 89, and senior
Charley Fleek (Albert Lea, Minn.) tied for seventh with a 90. Freshman
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) placed 11th with a 94 and senior
Miranda Noon (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) was right behind in 12th with a 95.
Sophomore
Reagan Barr (Tucson, Ariz.) placed 16th with a career-best round of 99, junior
Maddie Lechmaier (West Bend, Wis.) was 22nd with a 128, and junior
Eileen Wendt (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) finished 26th with a 132.
Wisconsin Lutheran will compete in the Midwest Region Fall Classic on September 25 and 26Â at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville.
