MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College finished third out of 14 teams at the Rhodes Invitational at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday.Â
The Warriors finished with 129 points. Arkansas State won the 14-team event with a score of 15 points and Centre was runner-up with 74 points. Arkansas State's Jacob Pyeatt placed first with an 8K time of 25:43.7.
Junior
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) was WLC's top finisher, placing 17th out of 133 runners with an 8K time of 26:57.7. Sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) finished 21st with a time of 27:12.7 and junior
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) was 29th with a time of 27:26.2. Freshman
Michael Miller (Waukesha, Wis.) placed 43rd with a time of 28:28.7Â and freshman
Jack Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 46th with a time of 28:36.2.
Wisconsin Lutheran hosts the Warrior Invitational on Saturday, October 1 at Greenfield Park in West Allis. The 8K race starts at Noon.
