BRISTOL, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College tied a school record with a 360 in the second round of the Battle On The Border hosted by Carthage on Friday and Saturday at Bristol Oaks Golf Club.
The Warriors finished 10th with a two-round tournament score of 370-360--730. UW-Whitewater won the 17-team scoring title with a 323-310--633. Elizabeth Johnson of UW-Whitewater earned medalist honors in the 102-player field with a 77-72--149.
Senior
Maddie O'Keefe (Erin, Wis.) tied for 29th overall to lead WLC with a 85-88--173. Senior
Sarah Bridenhagen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) tied for 54th with a 94-89--183. Junior
Taylor Houston (Clinton, Wis.) finished 65th with a 100-87--187. Her second round 87 bested her previous career low by six strokes.
Graduate student
Charley Fleek (Albert Lea, Minn.) tied for 66th with a 91-97--188, Sophomore
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) rounded out the team scoring with a 105-96--201. Individually, junior
Rebecca Schildgen (Beloit, Wis.) posted a pair of career-best rounds with a 98-95--193.
The Warriors compete next Friday, September 8 in the MSOE Invitational at Brown Deer Park Golf Course. Tee time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
