NORTHFIELD, Minn. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College finished 16th out of 31 teams at the NCAA Division III North Regional on Saturday at Bill Huyck Championship Course. The Warriors, who recorded their second-highest regional championship team finish in program history, totaled 518 points in the final standings.
Senior
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) paced WLC on the 8K course, finishing 61st out of 220 runners with a time of 25:50.9. Junior
Jack Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) placed 103rd with a personal-best time of 26:49.7, while junior
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 107th with a time of 26:55.8. Sophomore
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) was 110th with time of 26:57.2. Senior
Adam Kriefall (New Berlin, Wis.) rounded out the team score for Wisconsin Lutheran in 137th with a time of 27:38.0.
UW-La Crosse, which placed four runners in the top-11, won the regional team championship with 40 points. Mohammed Bati of Augsburg won the individual 8K championship race with a time of 24:20.6.
The NCAA Division III North Regional Championship concludes the competition season for the Warriors.
