Wisconsin Lutheran Opens Spring Season At MSOE Invitational

Bridenhagen leads Warriors with a 93

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2024 spring competition schedule with a fourth-place finish at the MSOE Invitational on Saturday at Brown Deer Park Golf Course.

The Warriors finished fourth with a 401, nine shots back of third-place St. Norbert. Marian won the five-team event with a 364 (+76). Marian's Yinan Lu earned medalist honors with an 82 (+10).

Senior Sarah Bridenhagen (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) tied for fifth overall with a 93 to lead WLC. Sophomore Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) tied for 11th with a 97.

Junior Rebecca Schildgen (Beloit, Wis.) tied for 15th with a 104, while freshman Madison Wagner (Green Bay, Wis.) tied for 17th with a 107. Sophomore Brynn Boche (Ixonia, Wis.) rounded out the team score with a 137. Freshman Marin Riesen (Watertown, Wis.) carded a 141.

Wisconsin Lutheran competes in the UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational next Friday and Saturday at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville. Friday's tee time starts at 1 p.m. and Saturday's round begins at 9 a.m.
