Trio Competes In 5,000M At Midwest Elite Invitational

WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College had three student-athletes compete in the 5,000m on Friday at the Midwest Elite Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater at Williams Center.

Senior Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) paced the Warriors in the 107-runner finishing field with a time of 15:29.37. Sophomore Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) recorded a time of 15:45.63, while junior Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) finished with a time of 16:00.79. Gunner Schlender of UW-Whitewater won the event with a NCAA Division III top time of 13:59.81. 

WLC returns to Willmore Center in Ripon tomorrow for the Dick Hendricks Invitational. Events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Live coverage links can be found on WLCSports.com.
