Warriors looking to avenge last year's First Round loss to Bears

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – One weekend after winning its first two NCAA Tournament games in program history, Wisconsin Lutheran College makes its first-ever Sweet 16 appearance when it travels to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the third round of 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament.

The No. 22 Warriors (27-3) will face No. 17 WashU (21-6) on Friday, March 14 at 4 p.m. at Mitchell Hall. No. 9 Illinois Wesleyan (24-5) will face fifth-ranked host UW-La Crosse (24-5) in the other third round matchup at 7 p.m. The winners of the two games will meet in the Elite Eight on Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets to the games are $17 for adults and $11 for seniors, students, and children.

One night prior, graduate Ryan Broeckel (Chilton, Wis.) recorded a game-high 30-point, 11-rebound double-double as the Warriors ended the nation's longest winning streak (20 games) with a 73-61 victory over No. 11 Calvin in the first round.
