NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College competed at the First Chance Invitational hosted by North Central at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Team scores were not recorded at the two-day event.
MEN
Freshman
Sam Ehlke (Jackson, Wis.) placed seventh out of 30 competitors in the Triple Jump with a personal-best mark of 13.18m.
Junior
Abuchi Osuala (Milwaukee, Wis.) placed 18th out of 102 sprinters in the 100m with a time of 11.02 seconds.
Freshman
Nate Nash (Wildomar, Calif.) came 20th in Shot Put at a personal best 12.00m, and 27th in the Hammer at a personal-best 36.42m.Â
Also recording personal-bests for the Warriors were sophomore
Brendan Cruz (Cape Coral, Fla.) in the Discus (23.68m), junior
Damarius Lewis (Milwaukee, Wis.) in the 100m (12.05), junior
Marshall Palmer (Collinsville, Okla.)Â in the Shot Put (9.42m) and Hammer (23.72m), freshman
Kevin Trevino (Lewisville, Texas) in the Shot Put (9.62m) and Hammer (26.02m), sophomore
John Varga (Burbank, Calif.) in the Javelin (25.49m), and sophomore
DeShawn Wells (Sioux City, Iowa) in the 100m (11.83) and Javelin (32.42m).
WOMEN
Junior
Leah Schmidt (Bonduel, Wis.) finished 14th out of 44 competitors in the Hammer at 39.28m. Senior Autumn Pryzbyla (Belvidere, Ill.) placed 14th out of 40 throwers in the Javelin at a personal-best 27.96m.
