PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College senior
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) broke the school record in the 5000m on Friday at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
Herried, who finished second in his heat and 66th overall out of 274 runners, recorded a school- and personal-record time of 14:45.89. He bested
Zeke Micheel's previous school record of 14:46.90 from the same event a season ago. The mark is also good for the top time in the NACC this season.
Three other Warriors also posted personal best marks in the event. Sophomore
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) was 204th with a time of 15:28.35, junior
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 208th with a time of 15:30.73, and sophomore
Noah Micheel (Mequon, Wis.) was 242nd with a time of 15:48.85.Â
