WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's track & field combined for 15 personal- and season-best marks on Thursday at the Drake Alternative Meet hosted by UW-Whitewater at Rex Foster Track. Team scores were not recorded at the event, which was moved up a day from its originally scheduled date due to forecasted weather.
MEN
Freshman
Nate Nash (Wildomar, Calif.) posted personal-best marks in the Discus (39.90m), Hammer (37.61m), and Shot Put (12.98m). while sophomore
John Varga (Burbank, Calif.) achieved personal-best throws in the Javelin (26.95m), Discus (26.14m), and Shot Put (8.95m). Sophomore
Joe Evans (Irmo, S.C.) added personal-best distances in the Javelin (24.59m) and Shot Put (8.56m).
Freshman
Kevin Trevino (Lewisville, Texas) (Hammer/29.30m) and sophomores
Brendan Cruz (Cape Coral, Fla.) (Shot Put/9.59m) and
DeShawn Wells (Sioux City, Iowa) (Shot Put/8.97m) also reached personal bests.
Junior
Damarius Lewis (Milwaukee, Wis.) ran a personal-best time in the 200m of 24.16 seconds. Junior
Isaiah Krenek (Aurora, Ill.) clocked a personal-best time in the 400m of 52.33 seconds.
Senior
Will Caldwell (Milwaukee, Wis.) posted a season-best time in the 3,000m Steeplechase of 10:28.83.
WOMEN
Senior
Rachel Romens (Slinger, Wis.) tied for fourth out of 24 competitors in the High Jump after clearing a season-best height of 1.57m.
