JANESVILLE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College wrapped up its 2024-2025 season with a ninth-place finish at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Riverside Golf Course.
The Warriors, who matched their third-lowest round of the season on Saturday, shot a 381-376--757 (+181) for a ninth-place finish in their final event of the spring season. Host UW-Whitewater won the event with a 305-307--612 (+36) by two shots over runner-up UW-Stout. Kallie Lux of UW-Whitewater earned medalist honors in the 58-player field with a 72-73--145 (+1).
Junior
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman
Lucia Giurdanella (Downers Grove, Ill.) tied for 44th to lead WLC with a 186 (+42). Affeld carded consecutive rounds of 93-93, while Giurdanella fired rounds of 90-96, including a season-low round on Friday.
Sophomore
Madison Wagner (Green Bay, Wis.) was 48th with a 97-92--189 (+45), freshman
Macy Grover (Janesville, Wis.) was 50th with a 102-95--197 (+53), and senior
Rebecca Schildgen (Beloit, Wis.) was 52nd with a 101-101--202 (+58).
This weekend's tournament marked the end of the 2024-2025 season for Wisconsin Lutheran, which played a total of 14 rounds and placed fifth at the NACC Championship.
