JANESVILLE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its spring season with an 18th-place finish at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Riverside Golf Course.
Inclement weather suspended Friday's opening round, forcing tournament officials to shorten the event to a single 18-hole competition on Saturday. The Warriors were making their first appearance of the spring campaign and capped the weekend with a score of 418.
WLC was led by senior
Kaylea Affeld (Watertown, Wis.), who paced the team with a 94 for an 87th-place finish. Sophomore
Lucia Giurdanella (Downers Grove, Ill.) followed with a 103 for 96th place, while sophomore
Macy Grover (Janesville, Wis.) placed 97th with a 104, and sophomore
Caden Reger (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished 100th with a 117.
UW-Stout captured the team title with a 301, while Julia Imai of UW-Stout earned medalist honors with the top individual finish in the field with an even-par 72.
Wisconsin Lutheran closes out the 2025-2026 season next Saturday, April 25, when it competes in the MSOE Triangular at Brown Deer Park Golf Course in Milwaukee.
