Zarling Snags First Career NACC Weekly Award

Junior tallied six points in conference-opening win over CUW last week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Ava Zarling (Jackson, Wis.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. This is Zarling's first career NACC weekly award.

Zarling tallied two goals and two assists in the Warriors' 5-2 conference-opening win over Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, September 19. The junior forward led all players with seven shots and was credited with the game-winning goal in WLC's only match of the week. Her performance helped Wisconsin Lutheran extend its best start to a season in program history to 5-0-0, secure its first conference-opening win since 2019, and snap a 25-match losing streak to the Falcons.

The Warriors return to action on Wednesday when they travel to De Pere to face St. Norbert (2-5-1, 1-1-0 NACC) in a 7 p.m. NACC matchup.
