OLIVET, Mich. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
football team turned the ball over eight times as Olivet College
put up 55 first half points en route 62-2 win over the Warriors on
Saturday afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex.
The Warriors turned the football over six times on their first
eight possessions with the Comets capitalizing by scoring
touchdowns on eight of their nine first half possessions.
Wisconsin Lutheran's score came when Jake Schweder (McHenry,
Ill./East) returned a block point after touchdown the other way for
a two-point score.
WLC managed just 15 yards rushing as a team on 31 carries as the
Comets defense applied constant pressure to the Warrior offensive
backfield. Ryan Adamovich (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) led all
receivers with six catchers for 54 yards.
Pat Clasgens led Olivet (1-3, 1-0 MIAA) with 143 yards on the
ground. Quarterback Rob White threw for 242 yards and two
touchdowns.
Colin Makepeace (Cape Canaveral, Fla./Cocoa Beach) led the
defense with a game-high nine tackles. Jon Jones (Milwaukee,
Wis./Riverside) intercepted a pass and Kyle Foster (West Allis,
Wis./Milwaukee Hamilton) recovered a fumble.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-3, 0-1 MIAA) returns home to Raabe Stadium
next Saturday when it plays host to the Albion College Britons in a
12 p.m. kickoff.
