WATERTOWN, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran
College women's soccer team was on the short end of a 1-0 defeat to
the Maranatha Baptist Bible College Crusaders on Saturday afternoon
in a Northern Athletics Conference game.
After both teams played to a scoreless first half tie, Elise
Jones of Maranatha found the back of the net at the 49:28 mark of
the second half. It would be all that the Crusaders needed on the
day to earn the win.
WLC attempted three shots in the game, opposed to 16 attempted
by MBBC. Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) finished with
eight saves in the game for the Warriors.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-8, 1-2 NAC) hosts Dominican University on
Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Warrior Field in a NAC contest.
