DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors
men's tennis team was blanked by the Loras College Duhawks 9-0 on
Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match at Eagle Point Park.
The Duhawks (4-9) took five out of the six matches of singles
competition in two sets before winning by default at No. 6 singles.
Alex Allister (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) just missed a
victory at No. 1 singles for the Warriors, falling 7-6, 6-5 to Joe
Holguin. WLC dropped its matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles by
scores of 8-3 and 8-4, respectively. The Warriors lost at No. 3
doubles by default.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-8, 1-6 NAC) hosts the Concordia University
Chicago Cougars next Saturday, April 25 in a 10 a.m. NAC match at
the Princeton Club.
