WLC falls to Aurora, 6-3

NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team was defeated by Aurora University 6-3 on Wednesday in a Northern Athletics Conference match at the Princeton Club.

Alex Allister (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) began action at No. 1 singles by defeating Daniel Micun 2-6, 7-6, 10-6. The Spartans responded by taking the next four singles matches before senior Kyle Plath (Lake Geneva, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) wrapped up singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Gustavo Uribe at No. 6.

Aurora took the first two matches of doubles competition by scores of 8-4 and 8-2, respectively. The Warriors notched their third and final win of the afternoon at No. 3 doubles when Jon Jossart (Brookfield, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Plath topped Gustavo Uribe and Juan Padilla by a final of 8-4.

Wisconsin Lutheran (0-3, 0-3 NAC) returns to the courts on Saturday when it makes the short trek north to Mequon to face Concordia University Wisconsin in a NAC match at noon.
