defeated the WLC men's tennis team on Saturday 9-0 in a Northern
Athletics Conference dual match at North Shore Country Club.
Senior Alex Allister (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) began
competition by dropping the No. 1 singles match to Pat Schramka,
6-3, 6-1. At No. 2 singles, Steve Carran (Beaver Dam, Wis./Luther
Preparatory) was defeated 6-1, 6-0 by Brian Tresedder. Steven
Anschutz won 6-0, 6-0 over Joseph Workman (McLean, Va./Langley),
while Thao Lor downed Jon Jossart (Brookfield, Wis./Wisconsin
Lutheran) 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Kaleb Buch (Manitowoc,
Wis./Lutheran) was defeated 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Matt
Pautz (Two Rivers, Wis./Manitowoc Lutheran) ended the singles
competition with a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Ross McDonell at No. 6.
Doubles competition featured Schramka and Anschutz topping
Allister and Mike Reimer (Sheboygan, Wis./South) 8-1 at No. 1. The
team of Buch and Carran was defeated 8-1 at No. 2 doubles by Lor
and Tresedder. Concluding doubles competition, Jossart and Pautz
were defeated by Shaffer and McDonell 8-1 at No. 3.
Wisconsin Lutheran (0-6, 0-6 NAC) hosts Rockford College on
Saturday in a 2 p.m. NAC dual at the Princeton Club.
