MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
football team led through three quarters of action but was unable
to finish the game out, falling to Concordia University Chicago
29-17 on Saturday afternoon at Raabe Stadium.
A 12-yard pass from WLC junior quarterback Zach Shaw (Gurnee,
Ill./Warren Township) to senior wide receiver Matt Lopata (Cudahy,

Warriors and opened the scoring on the afternoon. The Cougars would

touchdown pass from Jake Koehler.
Both defenses would dominate the second quarter as the only
points came to the forest green and white when they collected two
points on a CUC safety to take a 9-7 lead into halftime.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the second half on a 45-yard
field goal from Danny Colapietro after the visitors intercepted a
pass from Shaw. WLC would take back the lead just two plays and 45
seconds later as senior running back Jesse Muldrow (Milwaukee,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) scampered to the end zone on a 42-yard
run. The Warriors converted on their two-point conversion to take a
17-9 lead.
The final score of the third quarter went to CUC, on a 14-yard

on their two-point conversion and trailed WLC 17-16 at the end of
three quarters.
The fourth quarter belonged to the Cougars as they scored
