MEQUON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
men's tennis team was blanked by Northern Athletics Conference
rival Concordia University Wisconsin 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon at
North Shore Country Club.
The Falcons swept all nine flights from the Warriors, who were
forced to forfeit matches at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
CUW's Brian Tresedder topped WLC's Mike Reimer (Sheboygan,
Wis./South) 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Jon Jossart (Brookfield,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) fell at No. 2 singles to Pat Schramka 6-0,
6-0. At No. 3 singles, David Parez (Milwaukee, Wis./Thomas More)
was downed 6-0, 6-0 by Russell Johnson. Matt Pautz (Two Rivers,
Wis./Manitowoc Lutheran) fell to Tanner Hahn 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 and
Aaron Vanderhyde (Aurora, Colo./Homeschooled) was knocked off by
Daniel Kleinowski 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles play, Reimer and Jossart were defeated by Schramka
and Johnson 8-1. Parez and Pautz were blanked 8-0 by Tresedder and
Hahn.
Wisconsin Lutheran (0-4, 0-4 NAC) returns to the courts on
Saturday with NAC road dual matches at Aurora University (10 a.m.)
and Rockford College (2 p.m.).
