Sabres claim 8-1 season finale win over Warriors

NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team was defeated by Northern Athletics Conference opponent Marian University (1-12, 1-8 NAC) 8-1 Wednesday evening in the Warriors' final dual match of the season at the Princeton Club.

Aaron Vanderhyde (Aurora, Colo./Homeschooled) was credited with WLC's only match victory after he defeated MU's Khedup Dhondup 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. The remainder of singles play saw the Sabres win matches at No. 1 through No. 4, and No. 6 via forfeit.

In doubles action, Marian won the first two flights by scores of 8-2 and 8-4, respectively. The Warriors were forced to forfeit their match at No. 3.

Wisconsin Lutheran wraps up its 2011 season 0-10 overall and 0-9 in the NAC.
