NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The
Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team fell 9-0 in a Northern
Athletics Conference dual match against MSOE late on Wednesday
night at the Princeton Club.
The closest singles match came at #1 where freshman Lee Johnson
(Hales Corners, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) dropped his first
conference match of the season in three sets against the Raiders'
Juan Montenegro. Montenegro won the first set 6-4 before Johnson
rallied with a 6-2 victory in set two. Montenegro then won the
deciding set, 10-7.
All the other singles matches went in favor of MSOE (8-10, 8-1 NAC)
in straight sets and the Raiders also won all three doubles matches
to take the conference match 9-0.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-7, 1-6 NAC) is back in action on Thursday as
it will face off against conference opponent Marian (1-6, 1-5 NAC)
in another dual match. Play between the Warriors and Sabres begins
at 3 p.m. at Buttermilk Creek Park in Fond du Lac, Wis.
