Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College football team held a 22-21 lead at halftime, but was outscored by Trinity International 28-0 in the second half en route to a 49-22 non-conference loss Saturday afternoon at Leslie Frazier Field. Trojans' quarterback Stephen Anderson threw for 417 yards and a school-record seven touchdowns.

- The Warriors dropped to 0-2 and the Trojans improved to 2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anderson was 4-for-4 for 47 yards on TIU's second drive of the game, including a 16-yard touchdown pass lofted to Cory Windle in the right corner of the end zone to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead with 7:27 to go in the opening quarter.
- Following a failed onside kick by the Trojans on the ensuing kickoff, WLC used an 11-play, 51-yard drive to tie the game on a two-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Hernandez (Goodyear, Ariz./Desert Edge) to Mitch Skarban (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) in the back of the end zone.
- The Trojans grabbed the lead back on the next drive, moving 57 yards on seven plays, capped by Anderson's five-yard touchdown strike to Dillon Turk with less than a minute to play in the first quarter.
- After a three-and-out by WLC, Anderson was 6-for-7 for 61 yards on the next drive, tossing another fade to Windle in the right corner of the end zone from four yards out to give TIU a 21-7 advantage.
- A 41-yard completion to Eli Campbell keyed a seven-play, 67-yard drive for the Warriors, and Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) scored on a three-yard touchdown run to cut the deficit to 21-14.
- WLC forced Trinity International into punt formation, but a high snap led to an 18-yard loss, giving the Warriors the ball at the Trojan's 22-yard line. Reeves rumbled into the end zone from a yard out to pull the Warriors to within one. A low snap on the extra point attempt led to the holder, Skarban, scrambling to his right and connecting with Luke Sebald (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) on a pass for a two-point conversion to hand the Warriors a 22-21 halftime lead.
- WLC had a promising start to the second half, moving into Trojans' territory before Hernandez was hurt and came out of the game for one play. Gino DeGeorge (Las Vegas, Nev./Faith Lutheran) was intercepted by Riley Schussler on the next play. On the play after that, Anderson hit Turk for a 51-yard touchdown pass to give the Trojans a 28-22 edge.
- Schussler stopped the next Warriors drive with another interception on a throw by Hernandez.
- Later in the quarter, TIU moved 51 yards in 11 plays, and Windle caught a 13-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 35-22.
- WLC moved the ball into the red zone on the next drive, but Hernandez was picked off by Jarrel Carter in the end zone.
- Early in the fourth quarter, Anderson floated a 22-yard touchdown pass to Windle for his fourth touchdown grab of the game.
- Turk finished off the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown catch with 7:34 to play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Warriors were outgained 477-296 yards.
- Both teams were strong on third down, with WLC converting 9-of-17 and TIU picking up 11-of-18.
- The Trojans grabbed three interceptions while the Warriors didn't force any turnovers.
- Turk made 11 catches for 162 yards and three scores, and Windle pulled in six grabs for 80 yards and four touchdowns.
- WLC held TIU to 64 rushing yards, led by Chris Elliott's 73 yards on 22 carries.
- Hernandez was 20-for-36 for 179 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
- Campbell made four catches for 78 yards and Skarban caught six passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.
- Reeves piled up 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
- Jestin Heimbruch (Manawa, Wis./Little Wolf) made a team-high nine tackles for the Warriors and Tanner Behnke (Brillion, Wis./Brillion) contributed eight tackles.
- Darwin Stone made 10 tackles for TIU and Justin Hackley added nine tackles and 1.5 sacks.
- The Trojans are 3-0 all-time against WLC, including victories over the Warriors in 2000 and 2001.
