BROOKFIELD, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team fall to cross-town conference foe MSOE 7-2 in a NACC dual match Friday afternoon at Elite Sports Club.
The Warriors' top doubles team of Lee Johnson (Hales Corners, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Zach Birner (Neenah, Wis./Luther Preparatory) defeated MSOE's Matthew Slaughter and Zachary Dam 8-6 to open doubles play. The Raiders were victorious at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles 8-1 and 8-4, respectively.
Johnson continued his winning ways at No. 1 singles as he defeated Dam 6-1, 6-3. The senior improved to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in conference matches on the season. Unfortunately for WLC, MSOE won the remaining singles matches at No. 2 through No. 6 to take the match 7-2.
Wisconsin Lutheran (2-8, 1-2 NACC) travels to Aurora (0-2, 0-0 NACC) tomorrow for a 10 a.m. match with the Spartans.
