Duhawks Down Warriors In Non-Conference Dual

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 non-conference loss against Loras on Sunday at Elite Sports Club. The Warriors dropped to 0-4 on the season, while Loras improved to 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Loras swept all three doubles matches from the Warriors to begin play by scores of 8-6, 8-3, and 8-0.
• The Duhawks took control of the matchup by taking the last four singles matches. Zach Birner (Neenah, Wis./Luther Preparatory) scored the only victory for WLC in singles No. 2, defeating Ulises Hernandez in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. 
• At No. 1 singles, Derek Sallmann (Waukesha, Wis./West) forced a third set, before dropping it 10-7.

• Wisconsin Lutheran travels to Lakeside Recreation Facility in Galseburg, Ill., next Saturday where they will face Simpson (7-4) at 12 p.m. and Webster (1-1) at 3 p.m.
