Warriors Drop Home Opener To Knights

GLENDALE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team was dealt a 9-0 non-conference loss by Calvin on Saturday night at Elite Sports Club. Calvin improved to 2-0, while WLC fell to 0-3 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights swept through doubles play to open the match, winning by scores of 8-1, 8-0, and No. 3 doubles by forfeit.
• Calvin claimed straight set victories in each of the six singles flights. The Warriors' closest matches were at No. 1 and No. 3 singles were Derek Sallmann (Waukesha, Wis./West) was defeated 6-2, 6-4, and Paul Fitzgerald (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision.
