Spartans Shutout Warriors In Non-Conference Action

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference defeat against Dubuque on Saturday afternoon at Elite Sports Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Spartans swept through doubles play over the Warriors, winning matches by scores of 8-3, 8-2, and by default, respectively.
• UD also won all six singles flights over WLC. Wisconsin Lutheran's tightest match of the day came at No. 1 singles where Derek Sallmann (Waukesha, Wis./West) dropped a close two-set match 6-3, 7-5 to the Spartans' Juan Castro.
• The Warriors were unable to win more than two points in any of the remaining singles matches.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Wisconsin Lutheran faced its fourth of five non-conference opponent from the Iowa Conference.
• The Spartans improved to 3-0 all-time over the Warriors.
