BROOKFIELD, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team opened Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Friday afternoon, dropping a 9-0 match to the MSOE Raiders at Elite Sports Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE opened doubles play with identical 8-1 wins at No. 1 and No. 2, before winning No. 3 by default.
- Despite not winning a match, the Warriors didn't go down easily. Derek Sallmann (Waukesha, Wis./West) and Jon Wordell (Mequon, Wis./Christian Academy in Japan) each pushed their opponent to a third set, but came up short. Sallmann suffered a 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 setback at No. 1, while Jon Wordell was handed a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 loss at No. 3.

- The Warriors dropped their third straight match to the Raiders and fell to 2-9 against them in the all-time series.
