NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team picked up a pair of NACC wins Saturday in its home opener, defeating Aurora by a score of 7-2 and Dominican via a 9-0 sweep at the Princeton Club in New Berlin.

HOW IT HAPPENED (AURORA)
- The Warriors won two of three doubles matches in their opening contest, with the No. 2 Doubles team of Tabitha Schultz (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) and Katarina Volkmann (Slinger, Wis.) winning 8-0.
- Wisconsin Lutheran won five of the six singles matches, including Paige Potaracke (La Crosse, Wis.) collecting a victory at the No. 1 singles position.
- Reebee Ratkowski (Waterford, Wis.), Emily Boyd (Lebanon, Wis.), and Hannah Gerbing (Pewaukee, Wis.) all collected consecutive 6-1, 6-1 victories in singles play.
HOW IT HAPPENED (DOMINICAN)
- WLC defeated Dominican without dropping a single match.
- Potaracke collected a victory 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 Singles position and also partnered with Boyd to earn an 8-2 victory at the No. 1 Doubles position.
- Ratkowski and Gerbing collected identical 6-1, 6-0 victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions, respectively.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Warriors collected victories in 16 of their 18 matches played today.
- WLC earned its first 9-0 victory of the season, the first since defeating Beloit 9-0 in its final match a season ago.
- Wisconsin Lutheran won its third straight match, its longest winning streak since it won six straight to start the 2015 fall season.
- Ratkowski upped her team-best individual record to 6-2 on the season.
FOR THE FOES
- The Spartans collected their only two wins over the Warriors at No. 1 Doubles and No. 2 Singles.
