WLC Drops NACC Opener To MSOE

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team dropped its opening Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match of the season to MSOE, 8-1, Friday afternoon at Elite Sports Club-River Glen.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Warriors doubled up the Raiders at No. 1 doubles as Ben Wordell (Mequon, Wis.) and Jeremy Ryno (Grayslake, Ill.) teamed up to earn an 8-4 win for their first win of the season.
  • MSOE was victorious at No. 2 doubles (8-0) and No. 3 doubles (8-2) and carried a 2-1 lead into singles play.
  • The Raiders swept through singles play, winning five of six flights in straight sets. Ben Wordell suffered a tough three-set loss, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3, at No. 1 singles. Both Ryno and Matt Plaski (Milwaukee, Wis.) dropped 6-4, 6-3 decisions at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
