HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars struck first in the second minute of the contest when Brooke Lorentz lofted a ball from 15 yards away over the Warriors goalkeeper to put the visitors up 1-0.

- The Warriors kept the pressure on the rest of the first half, out-shooting UMM 7-4 and registering three corner kicks, but couldn't find the back of the net.
- The second half was dominated by WLC, as it held possession in the UMM half of the field for a large portion, but the two teams remained deadlocked at 1-1.
