Men's Tennis Topped By Knights In Season Opener

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team opened its 2019 season with a 9-0 defeat against non-conference power Calvin Thursday night inside the Princeton Club.

• Final Score: Calvin 9, Wisconsin Lutheran 0
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (0-1), Calvin (2-1)
• Location: Princeton Club, New Berlin, Wis.

• Calvin opened the match by winning all three doubles matches over the Warriors. The Knights also swept through singles play by taking all six flights.
• WLC was able to win one game at No. 2 singles where Matt Plaski (Milwaukee, Wis.) fell 6-1, 6-0.

• The Warriors return to the courts March 9 when they play the first of four matches at the PTR Spring TennisFest against Carroll (0-5) in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
